Meet Stefani Hoyt M.S.. Holistic Nutrition, PYT, E-RYT 500
I am a passionate yoga practitioner who specializes in a creative form of movement and breath based yoga that facilitates pain relief on the physical and emotional levels. Utilizing wisdom from Ayurveda, Yoga Therapy and Thai Yoga Massage, I have created a fluid yoga style that provides the benefits of Power Yoga and Vinyasa Flow Yoga without the injuries. My classes focus on the elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether so you have the opportunity to explore a different yoga session every time you meet with me. This helps you to establish a well rounded yoga practice and also gives the added benefit of never getting bored!
I have been sharing yoga with the world since 2001 and have trained in Toronto, Seattle, Chicago, Montreal and Detroit with beautiful and amazing teachers such as Michelle Cormack, Karen Heaven, Lucille Palancher and Robin Rothenburg. These ladies and many others helped me find my path and gave me the confidence that I needed to start out on this incredible journey.
Teaching for this long has given me a sensitivity to what my students are looking for and I strive to make my classes applicable to life in the real world. I am not one for the "fluffy stuff" but I do take the following things very seriously. I believe that yoga is about relationship, first with yourself and then others. I get to know my students and tailor my classes to your needs. Whether it is a grounding and strengthening Earth class for prenatal mamas to be or an intense Fire class to burn out stress and get rid of office blahs, I make it my personal goal to make sure that each person leaves the room getting what they needed for that day. In other words, my classes are personal and sincere and my intent is that you leave them feeling a sense of confidence in your body and a sense of community with others.
